M1903 Springfield rifle

From Medal of Honor

The Springfield is a bolt-action rifle designed by the United States. Using a Mauser bolt, the M1903 has a 5-round integral magazine. The M1903 was originally designed for the blunt-nose .30-03 round, but due to the Germans' introducing the Spitzer bullet. In addition, the M1903 has a few design problems, such as a poor bayonet and questionable iron sights. The weapon was redesigned and fitted to accept the Spitzer .30-06 round.

The M1903 was used in WWI and WWII, the former as a main battle rifle (even though the "emergency" M1917 Enfield surpassed it as an issued rifle) and the latter as a sniper rifle. Early in WWII, the M1903 was used in lieu of Garands, as there weren't enough of them to equip the entire Marines at the time. The sniper variant, the M1903A4, was not fitted with iron sights.

The M1903 was used up until the start of the Vietnam War, where it was replaced by the Remington M40 rifle

In Allied Assault, the M1903 is the primary sniper rifle used in the game. Given to you at the start of some levels, the M1903 is a solid weapon, being capable of downing an enemy with one shot ot the torso or head. It's only flaw is that each round must be loaded individually. Otherwise, it's a fine weapon that'll serve you well throughout single and multiplayer modes.

In Spearhead, the M1903 is Britain's main sniper rifle, but is replaced with a special Lee-Enfield in Breakthrough.

The exact same as it is in Allied Assault. The only difference is that the sniper variant is a very rare weapon in single player.
