MP44
From Medal of Honor
The MP44 is one of the world's first assault rifles. Firing the 7.92x33mm round, the MP44 is one of the pioneers of a select-fire, intermediate-round rifle. While not as popular as the M16 series or the AK-47, nonetheless it was a good weapon, if a bit heavy.
The MP44 began life as the MKb 42(H). It became the MP43 after some adjustments, then received the MP44 name.

In Allied Assault, the MP44 is a killer weapon, able to destroy a target with three shots to the torso. It's a good "jack-of-all-trades", being able to clear out room in CQC and can be used as a sniper rifle if you're somewhat desperate. This doesn't mean that you should stop using SMGs and rifles, but use the MP44 if you're in a map that needs CQC skills and some long-range capabilities in order to excel. It is a very rare weapon to find, only being seen used in Allied Assault at the mission in the Siegfried Lines.
The Germans use it very deadly, only two troops wielding MP44s able to kill the player in a matter of seconds. While a rare sight (since it was produced late in the war), the weapon is considerably powerful than any other weapon. While only significantly appearing in large numbers at Allied Assault, it makes a brief appearance in Spearhead at the first level when the player has to blow up the bridge and counters several guards armed with the MP44.
If you're using it as a long-range weapon, remember to burst-fire!
