In Pacific Assault, the Type 96 is Japan's support gun. Unlike real life, it never jams, making it much easier to use. It can kill with two hits to the torso or one headshot. It also has good accuracy, being able to take out targets at medium range wiht a quick burst-fire. In some ways, it can be viewed as Pacific Assault's rough equivilant of the MP44. The gun is also very deadly in close combat as it is armed with a bayonet, something that the Japanese army use extensively.
